Introduce yourself:
I am Adri Hems and live with my girlfriend Carla and 4 children in Best.
Since 2006 I have been working at KUK Wijdeven in medical transformers and transformer cabinets and since 2009 as a project engineer.
What is your role as Project Engineer ?
When a request for a medical transformer cabinet comes in, I make sure an appropriate calculation is made and I prepare the quotation. As soon as the order comes in, the engineering starts for me: I translate the installation diagram into a transformer cabinet using E-plan.
Then, in close contact with the customer, the finishing touches are added. The final design is released by the customer for production after which we set up the ERP system and order materials.
The delivery date when the transformer cabinets can be installed is discussed with the customer.
For large projects, it is common for us to conduct a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) prior to installation. We take care of everything up to and including installation on site at the hospital.
